Position Overview
The role of Vice Chancellor is pivotal in shaping the future direction of the University of Wah. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the university’s operations, including academic excellence, research innovation, financial health, and strategic growth. The Vice Chancellor will also play a key role in fostering a culture of academic integrity, inclusivity, and collaboration among students, faculty, and staff.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Ph.D.: Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
Experience: A minimum of twenty years of experience in a teaching/research position in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate institution, including at least five years’ experience dealing with higher education management at a senior level (BPS-21).
Additional Requirements
Applicants should not have been reprimanded or penalized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan or any other regulatory authority for any reason within the last five years.
Candidates should not be older than 65 years of age on the closing date of the application.
Terms of Appointment
Tenure: The Vice Chancellor will be appointed for a term of three years.
Salary Package: The salary and benefits package will be determined by the Board of Governors, ensuring it is commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
